Hi y’all, here goes my first blog! I’m so excited to start sharing our story. We bought our little blue cape two years ago, with big dreams of adding our own touch and style. We finally have found the time and funds to get the job done.

We started in our sunroom first because our youngest pup did some remodeling. We adopted wheeler almost two years ago now. He was a Christmas present reject. He had been passed from family to family four times before he found our loving home. He came with a lot of baggage… he was afraid of his own shadow. He had a bit of separation anxiety, probably due to being passed off so many times.

Long story short wheeler, our new heeler baby, ate his way out of his crate and tore up the floor. Luckily, the floor was less than desirable laminate flooring that we did not care too much for; however, we had recently got engaged when it happened and were saving every penny for our wedding. We decided to put a big rug over wheelers handy work and tried to forget about the huge hole in our flooring.

When the time came we chose to go with a waterproof and very durable vinyl floor to withstand the tough test of three rambunctious dogs. We absolutely needed something that would stand up to their constant energy. Tarkett Aloft collection was the perfect solution! We fell in love with their Canyon color. Plus, the only utensils needed to install them is a utility knife and a tape measure.

I was worried I was in over my head but it was so easy to install! The planks just clicked together and float on the subfloor. We couldn’t be happier with how it turned out and our dogs already proved it is waterproof.

Thank you for stopping by!

XOXO, Lisa Tornabene
